When talking about Child Support in Georgia, we have to turn to the Child Support Worksheets. Child Support Worksheets are basically the formula that is used by the State to determine what amount of Child Support will be owed. We take the gross monthly income of both parents and plug them in to the worksheets. If either parent does not have gainful employment, then their gross monthly income will be calculated at minimum wage, which is $1,260.50 per month. The worksheet also allows for deviations in the worksheet to determine the amount owed, such as, daycare, school costs, health insurance, etc.
